| The "World Editor" is the level editor for the real time strategy game Warcraft 3 by Blizzard
Entertainment. It lets you build your own single and multi-player maps complete with new terrain,
units, abilites, and triggers. If you install Warcraft 3 on your computer then the editor will be
automatically installed with the game. The file name for the editor is "worldedit.exe" you can
find it in the same directory you installed the game in. The shortcut "World Editor.exe" will also
open the editor. This web page is a compilation of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the Warcraft 3 World
Editor. It was written by and is maintained by the users of the old battle.net Map Development
Forum. It was not created by Blizzard Entertainment.
The expansion for Warcraft 3, "The Frozen Throne" (TFT), added several new features to the map
editor. So if you don't have the expansion parts of the FAQ may not apply to you. If you have an idea for an addition to the FAQ, or if you find something in the FAQ that needs to
be fixed, then post a reply in the FAQ thread. The FAQ is split into several sections, accesible from the navigation bar on the left. To search
